Rich Schefren has released an Internet Manifesto, what he calls “The Missing Chapter “ and a “Business Building” video that give you over an hour’s solid business building advice.

As an ex IT Project director, project manager and Edwards Deming devotee I’ve applied much of what Rich teaches to my own coaching clients. In fact the way he does his presentation is remarkably similar in concept to the way another expert presents his methodology. Both talk about importance of Deming and process and procedures.

There’s a huge amount of buzz around about Rich’s coaching scheme. Often businesses are too focussed internally and using a good coach helps them get to the next level much more easily.

The buzz is continuing this weekend as I’ve had emails from Carl Galletti and Jim Edwards informing me of a power packed webinar with Rich Schefren on Monday (leave me a comment if you want the details but they’re probably on Jim’s, Carl’s and Rich’s sites. I think Jim is actually asked to comment on Rich’s coaching during Rich Schefren’s video and is full of praise for it.

It’s great that a lot of businesses have woken up to the need for structure and process in their business. The only comment I’d make is that Dr Deming, yours truly and many others have been preaching the same message for a long time. What’s missing?

I think the missing component is that people see and hear useful stuff that they can incorporate to improve their business massively. Then often I’ve seen businesses not take any action on processes they know will improve their sales, or their customer retention or minimise their returns. All of which affect the bottom line.

Crazy?

I’ve made some notes on Rich’s video (which is excellent) and I’ll put them up as a post in due course.
