When Will You Take The Plunge Into Internet Marketing?
By Jim Symcox on Aug 8, 2008 in Internet Marketing, wordpress
I’m currently taking part in a 30 Day Challenge set by Ed Dale from Australia. He’s a well know Internet marketer and for the last few years has put on a challenge where he helps people get more into Internet marketing.
This year’s challenge is all about blogs and using them to make money.
You know I’m already a convert to blogs and much of what Ed has said I already know. Not that’s that’s a bad thing as we all need a refresher and the other thing is there’s always stuff you know that you’re not doing and should.
Currently Ed’s showing people which browser is best for Internet Marketing (Flock, similar to Firefox).
The best software to use for blogging (WordPress) and how to install Google Analytics for tracking.
In addition Ed has teamed up with a company that’s produced a great bit of software called “Marketing Samurai” that allows people to work out which niches to aim for, articles already on the Internet relating to those niches and other functionality which is being released over the 30 days.
We’ve reached day 8 so far and really the best thing about it is that Ed has encouraged everyone to join teams.
The team I’m working with has Canadians, Australians, Americans and me. We get to chat over Skype during the day about the issues that arise as Ed releases new pieces of software to assist with the challenge or gives advice over video, some of it live.
And of course the people taking part in these challenges run businesses. Do you think they’ll learn anything useful? You bet!
I’m sure that by the end of the challenge every single person who stays the course will be making money from their blog. How much? we’ll have to wait and see!
